On a hot Summer’s afternoon in June, Stick It On ventured to The Weald & Downland Museum to help Sophie and Nick celebrate their wedding day.
Set in the heart of the Sussex Downs National Park, the venue is an idyllic place to say your “I Do’s!”
When Sally Gallis (a highly recommended and lovely wedding planner) approached us to provide entertainment for Sophie & Nick’s Summer Feastival themed wedding we quickly got to work with booking them in and building their microsite whereby their guests select their three favourite choons to perform at the wedding reception.
With a grand total of 30 submissions, we managed to finalise 20 DJ sets in total, starting off with DJ Weald & GetDownland aka Sophie & Nick who opened their set with Gold Digger which certainly kicked off the night ahead for a brilliant disco!
Finishing off the night were DJ Smeechini (ft. DJ D-Rool) aka Sophie & Darryl who finished off with The Source ft Candi Staton – You Got The Love, a nod to an earlier choir performance during Sophie & Nick’s ceremony.
“We followed up the first dance, with our own DJ set. Our DJ for the evening ‘Stick it On’ allows your guests to take the music helm! All they need to do is submit their three-song set list and DJ name before the big day, and Stick It On organise the music and oversee each participant’s turn so they know what to do. We’re so glad we went with this option because although we were blessed with amazing weather, it meant the dance floor could have been left empty with people choosing to sit outside. Instead, everyone wanted to watch their friend or family member hit the decks, and it kept the dance floor buzzing all night long!” – Extract from Margot’s Wedding blog post.
